Starter — core setup for a small team

Built for a single office, typically 15 devices or fewer, where nothing is configured yet and the goal is a clean, correct baseline.

• Intune tenant and MDM authority configured
• Enrollment set up for every platform in use — Windows, iOS, Android, macOS
• Baseline compliance policies per platform
• Company Portal branded, with written enrollment instructions for staff
• Configuration documentation handed over

Starter is the right fit when the environment is small and reasonably consistent. It's not the right fit if you have significant partial enrollment to unpick — that cleanup is what pushes a project into the next tier regardless of device count.

Growing Team — automation and access control

Everything in Starter, plus the pieces that stop device management from being a manual job:

• Windows Autopilot — new laptops arrive pre-configured instead of being set up by hand
• Conditional Access tied to device compliance
• Mobile application management for BYOD phones and tablets
• Dynamic device groups for automatic policy targeting
• Live admin training session

This is the most common tier. The dividing line isn't really the device count — it's whether anyone is still configuring machines by hand, and whether personal devices touch company data.

Full Fleet — complex environments

Everything in Growing Team, plus the work that larger or more regulated environments need:

• Advanced Conditional Access and compliance policy design
• Multi-location and multi-department profile structures
• Full written operations guide covering ongoing maintenance
• Extended admin training and knowledge transfer

Full Fleet is less about size than about consequence. A 40-device business handling regulated data can need this tier; an 80-device business with one office and one platform may not.
